I'm not happy at all with the final result of my presentation / video Playing With Light I - The Conversation. It took me ten times more time to do it than I did to do the other two and the result is miles away from what I had in mind. It was supposed to have about 10 minutes, at the most, and it has almost 20 minutes...
In the first version it really had about 10 minutes, but when I decided that the main soundtrack should be Mack the Knife interpreted by Sonny Rollins, everything changed completely. In the middle I had to add a music with a different mood to go along with the ideas and words. I chose My Building Disappeared by Philip Glass and I had to repeat it in that sequence of the presentation because the length of the track wasn't enough for the number of slides. And then, in the conclusion of the presentation I had to go back to Mack the Knife... Anyway, in spite of the mediocre result, I uploaded on Youtube and will stay here too.
I'm deeply grateful to Maria Anisorac (a Romanian student) for inspiring me, for praising these unusual photographs of the serious Playing With Light and for allowing me to use our conversation at school to produce this...
I also thank Vivian (a Brazilian student) for allowing me to photograph her and use 2 photographs in this presentation. I excluded all the frontal photographs where she could be identified because, in spite of her saying she wouldn't mind at all that I used her photographs, she never brought me the written authorization signed by her mother or father (she is underage).
