Just a few people like this kind of pictures... but that has no importance at all. I began doing this kind of photographs two years ago and I still think this is really funny, unexpected and inspiring. One never knows exactly what will be the result of each click. The first I made were complete rubbish, then I learned a few tricks with the mistakes and the experience. The secret (if there is any) has much to do with the contrast between background and shapes / lights and the speed. A darker background is always better, tiny lights are better than big lights, shooting from a car in movement is better than standing still.
In the last weeks I made three presentations / videos with some pictures from the series Playing With Light. The second and third are already on Youtube and will stay here. These two have only pictures and a few effects and animations, a soundtrack but no words. The first one, that was indeed the origin of the other two, isn't complete yet. It is based on a conversation I had with a student and has many images by other people, it's much longer, it was tremendously difficult to get the right timing between music, words and images... and it's missing a drawing by another student (Vivian) and 2/3 photographs... Probably it will appear here next week if I find the time to do everything...
